Home is Where the Lumberjacks Are!

Every October we make a trip up to Nacogdoches for the SFA Rugby Alumni game. It's nice to go back and see the campus and see what all has changed- if anything. And of course see a ton of our friends!

We had a fun weekend with our friends but the game was short-lived. Sports Clubs ended up canceling the game because of the lightning in the area. We were walking around while the game was going and I noticed everyone's hair was standing on end- literally. I figured it was time for us to go then. I was taking Auggie back to the hotel when Tim called to tell me to pick him back up.

I love doing comparison pictures. The first year we took Auggie to Nac, I knew this spot would be perfect for future comparison pictures... Well, then the drought swept in and took out a bunch of the pine tree they planted didn't make it. There were only one or two trees in that area that made it but it still made for great pictures. The pictures below are our comparison pictures! Auggie wasn't cooperative when we went in 2012 so this year was the year to get it. Luckily we were able to squeeze in some pictures Saturday morning before the clouds and rain came in.

Our friends Jenna & Fredy came down from Dallas with their little girl, Lily. She is getting SO big! She and Auggie had a great time running around the Student Center.

Auggie's Next Adventure!

"Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's off to SCHOOL he goes!"

Auggie qualified for the PPCD program in College Station! He started the day after his 3rd birthday. He'll be going 5 days a week for about 3 hours each day. Last week was only 4 because they had a half day on Wednesday (who does half days in the middle of the week??).

Dropping him off has gotten better with each day. This week he has been excited to go. He seems to really like his teachers.

Tim & I can both tell he's changed even with today being his 6 day. We haven't gotten him to tell what he does during school but he'll answer "yesh" to all the questions.. even if he didn't do it.

Be prepared for a few more posts this week.. I'm trying to catch up!

Happy Halloween!

We finally went to the Aggieland Habitat for Humanity Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday. By this time last year and 2011, we had been to the patch 2-3 times already!

This year, Auggie is dressing up as Robin. I don't think he cares too much of what he's dressing up as but he wears the costume with no problem! He doesn't like the mask but I'm going to attempt to paint one on this afternoon.. You'll see in pictures next week if that works!

His best friend, Zane, is dressing up as Batman so they'll be quite a pair. I'm looking forward to getting pictures of them together. Tim & I and Jen & Dan (Zane's parents) are dressing up as villains- Scarecrow, Harley Quinn, The Joker & the Penguin.

It's been pretty wet this week so hopefully the rain will stay away long enough to "trick-or-treat" a couple of houses. Jen & Dan are hosting a small Halloween party before we go out. Auggie's friends are getting into the fun stage of being able to play together without too much interference from us adults.

I'll share with you Auggie's photos from the Pumpkin Patch.. I hope everyone has a SPOOKTACULAR Halloween!!

Love this picture of Auggie

The Little Ring Bearer Who Didn't Go Down the Aisle

Two weekends ago, my best friend from high school got married! Shannon & Cole were married in his parents' backyard on a gorgeous Saturday evening. I don't think the day could've gone any better.. well, the "cold" front could have come in a little earlier but it was a great day.

Auggie was the ring bearer and as the title of this post states, he didn't quite make it down the aisle. Tim had to hold his hand and even then, Auggie didn't want to. I'm just glad he didn't scream.

Campbell, Shannon's flower girl, was perfect and adorable... Just what I imagine Auggie would've done if he was a girl. But it's alright.. I think everyone got a good laugh over it. I know I did.

Just thought I'd share some photos for those of you who aren't on Facebook.
