We went to four turkey dinners for the one-day holiday. I can't complain much- they were all so good and full of great family and friends! Thank you to all the chefs out there who prepared the meals I went to.
I'll let you get to the pictures from our park trip on Monday because 1.) I'm not feeling too well and 2.) Auggie has an appointment in 15 minutes. I'll be sure to post a better update on Thursday!
We enjoyed a nice weekend in Krum celebrating Thanksgiving
with the Rigby side of our family. It was great having everyone in town but I’m
pretty sure someone is going to have to stay in a hotel in the next five years!
I suggested we should make a new tradition and go to a tropical place… like
Hawaii or even Florida… but I don’t think anyone took it too seriously. I
figured if we go somewhere then no one has to cook (or clean up once everyone
leaves!). Maybe when the kids are older?
Like I said, we had a great weekend. We stayed at Jamie and
Zach’s house. The kids played on Nathan’s swing set and with all his toys. I
think all the kids had fun.
I know little kids like to climb on things but I thought it
started later in life! Like when they could fully walk and attempt to catch themselves!
Auggie’s rocking chair wasn’t in the living room for more
than 20 minutes Wednesday night and he was already standing up and rocking in it! It’s only a
matter of time before he falls- I just know it!
He climbed on top of a box to get onto his
toy box. Well, that wasn’t going to happen- he tried sitting on the first box
and completely missed it so he went straight back onto the floor. I felt so bad
for him… but he needs to learn he can’t do that!
That’s pretty much the only thing that has happened. I'll leave you with some pictures from his 12 month photo session last week.
He wasn't too sure what to do with the cake
This was after I smushed his hand into it
and then he got it!
Daddy trying to help him eat the cake
and then he realized what it was!
Look at that: you can basically see the sugar running through his veins!

Thank you SO much for coming!!
Auggie's birthday went so well! We had less people than I thought (about 50) but that was okay (at least for my nerves it was!). We had some great brisket (cooked by Dustin and Lauren of Smell Our Pits BBQ) and some yummy cake from Cake Junkie, pies from Mommo and cake pops from "Aunt" Kayla! Auggie was in such a great mood the entire day- even with one nap! I was very thankful he was happy with all the attention. I mean, who wouldn't love being held almost the whole day at that age?!
He was given so many nice things- toys, clothes, gifts cards and money! If you helped us celebrate, Thank You SO much for coming! We hope everyone had a great time!
